Thousands of devotees throng Hill Temple on Deepavali

Devotees, who were denied entry to Chamundi Hill Temple on major festivities like Ashada Friday and Rathotsava due to COVID crisis, made it a point to offer prayers to the Presiding Deity of Mysuru yesterday marking Balipadyami, the last day of the 3-day Deepavali festival.

Mysuru Deputy Commissioner Dr. Bagadi Gautham, MLA G.T. Devegowda and his wife Lalitha G.T. Devegowda, along with Chamundi Hill Temple Chief Priest Shashishekar Dixit, performing Gau Puja (puja to cow) yesterday as part of Balipadyami rituals. ADC Dr. B.S. Manjunatha- swamy is also seen.
