Three-day Vidyuth-2026 begins: Open Day for engineering aspirants at VVCE on May 10

Mysore/Mysuru: The three-day annual cultural fest Vidyuth-2026 organised by Vidyavardhaka College of Engineering (VVCE) began at VVCE Campus in Gokulam today.

VVCE Principal Dr. B. Sadashive Gowda said the College in association with NSS and Red Cross has also organised a blood donation camp at the premises.

This year Vidyuth aims to be bigger and better by bringing out a number of crowd-pulling events like Dog Show, Auto Expo, Rangoli, Battle Of Bands, Golden Mic, Mehendi Competition, Clash Of Couture among others, he said.

Many famous artistes will be performing during Vidyuth-2026. Day-1 features performance by Wish Band. Day-2 will feature DJ Night and DJ Aztec entertaining the young crowd and the final day will feature singer- composer Raghu Dixit.

Open Day

VVCE has also organised ‘Open Day’ on May 10 for students aspiring to join engineering courses from 10 am at its Sahukar Chennaiah auditorium.

The programme organised under the theme ‘Ready to Engineer your Future?’ will provide information about engineering courses and professional career to students and parents.

Experts will provide information and guidance on CET counselling, followed by interaction with senior faculty and students.

Infosys Associate Vice-President K.S. Sundar, Senior Design Engineer V. Ravindra, CET Expert Uday Shankar, Vidyavardhaka Sangha Hon. President Gundappa Gowda and Hon. Secretary P. Vishwanath will be the chief guests.
