Madikeri: Three persons of a family, committed suicide by hanging themselves in separate rooms of the house they were residing in Bhagamandala last night.

The deceased have been identified as Gopal (65), his son Pradeep (35) and daughter in-law Manjula (28).

The incident came to light, when Gopal’s daughter Pavithra came to the house at about 8 pm yesterday and saw the three hanging.

Meanwhile, SP P. Rajendra Prasad, speaking to Star of Mysore, said that the reason for the three to take the extreme step is not known and added that the time of their deaths would be known only after receiving the post-mortem report.

Bhagamandala Police, who have registered a case in this regard, are investigating.
