Three including two juveniles arrested for temple theft

Mysuru: The CCB Police have cracked the theft of a temple in Falcon Tyres factory premises, with arrest of 3 persons, including 2 juveniles.

The Police have recovered jewellery worth Rs. 2.80 lakh from them. The arrested burglar has been identified as Tausif Pasha alias Jangli, 20, of Bannimantap.

Acting on a tip off, the CCB Police intercepted a passenger auto in which the three were travelling along with a bag on Aug. 10. The Police, who checked the bag, found silver articles and temple articles in the bag. During interrogation, the trio confessed to have burgled the temple in Falcon Tyres on KRS Road and had made good with silver and other valuable articles of the Temple, following which silver jewellery worth Rs. 2.80 lakh was recovered from them.

The Police also seized the passenger auto used by the trio to commit the crime.
