Mysore/Mysuru: In separate incidents, three persons have committed suicide in city on Sunday.
In the first case, a 45-year-old man has ended his life by allegedly consuming excess sedatives. The deceased is Ramaswamy, a resident of Hosabandikeri. It is learnt that Ramaswamy, who was suffering from depression, was on sedatives to get sleep and had consumed excess sedatives and died, according to Police. K.R. Police have registered a case.
In the second case, Mahesh (36), a resident of Ashokapuram, committed suicide by hanging self. Police said that Mahesh was living separately from his wife and was in financial problems. Ashokapuram Police have registered a case.
In the third case, a 23-year-old youth, said to be depressed following the demise of his parents, committed suicide by immolating self after pouring petrol on him on the outskirts of Kadakola.
The deceased is Shambu, a resident of Motha village in Nanjangud taluk. Shambu, who suffered serious burn injuries, was admitted to a hospital, where he breathed his last, according to Police. Mysuru South Police have registered a case.
