Mysuru: Despite City Police intensifying their night beat in city to prevent any sort of crime from happening, miscreants have managed to gain entry into three shops located in the same building on Shivarampet Road last night and have decamped with a total of Rs. 1.85 lakh cash from the three shops.
The burglars have decamped with Rs. 25,000 from Kamal Super Bazar belonging to Prakash Jain, Rs. 1.5 lakh cash at Vandana Enterprises of Chandrashekar and Rs. 10,000 cash from Maruthi Toys belonging to Pratap Chand. Apart from cash, the burglars are said to have not touched anything at these shops.
It is learnt that the burglars had gained entry to the building where these shops are located by scaling the wall of the temple behind the building and broke open the doors of the shops to enter inside.
The thefts came to light this morning, when the owners of these shops went to open the shops. As they found the doors of the shops broken, they immediately informed Devaraja Police.
Devaraja Inspector Thimmaraju and staff, who rushed to the spot, summoned the Fingerprint unit and the Dog Squad, besides conducting mahazar.
