Three two-wheeler lifters arrested

Four vehicles worth Rs. 2.5 lakh recovered

Mysuru: Udayagiri Police have arrested three two-wheeler lifters and have recovered four vehicles worth Rs. 2.5 lakh that were stolen by them.

Following increase in two-wheeler thefts, City Police Commissioner Dr. Chandragupta had constituted special Police teams to prevent vehicle thefts and also to trace and arrest vehicle lifters. Accordingly, the special Police team of Udayagiri Police Station, led by Inspector P.K. Raju, conducted an operation and arrested three two-wheeler lifters on Dec. 6.

Following the arrest, the Police have solved two cases in Udayagiri and one case each in Narasimharaja (NR) and Kuvempunagar Police Stations.

DCP (Crime & Traffic) M.S. Geetha Prasanna and Devaraja Sub-Division ACP M.N. Shashidhar guided Udayagiri Inspector P.K. Raju, SIs Sunil and Nagaraj Nayak and staff Siddiq Ahmed, Somashekar, Mohankumar, Shivarajappa and Sameer in nabbing operation.
