Three-week Sports Camp at Ashwini’s Sports Foundation in Kodagu from Apr.3

Ashwini’s Sports Foundation (ASF) has announced its yearly summer programme to be held at the 27-acre ASF Arena in Gonikoppal, South Kodagu from April 3.

This three-week programme for athletics, shooting, hockey, swimming and football is open to boys and girls in the age group of 10-17 years.

ASF has partnered with Sports Authority of India (SAI) for their athletics programme and is a ‘Khelo India Academy’ for athletics, where identified top talent of India train.

ASF is also Kodagu’s only institution that is affiliated Hockey India Academy. Training from SAI coaches for athletics, an ex-India coach for swimming, a hockey coach with 15 years of coaching experience, a licensed coach from Karnataka State Football Academy and a national-level player-cum-coach for shooting are the benefits that children will get from this programme.

This year ASF has opened the programme for outstation children who can stay on campus and participate in two different sports and the residential facility is limited to 75 children.

The ASF Arena has a 400m synthetic track, an indoor 8-lane 10m rifle shooting range, a 6-lane swimming pool, an international sized hockey ground, a turf football ground and a state-of-the-art gymnasium.

ASF was founded by Ashwini Nachappa, Olympian and Arjuna Awardee, to nurture world-class talent in athletics, hockey and shooting.
