Three women from city die in Andhra Pradesh road accident

Car driver sustains serious injuries

Mysore/Mysuru: Three women from city were killed on the spot when the car in which they were returning from Tirupati reportedly met with an accident near Chittor in Andhra Pradesh yesterday.

The deceased have been identified as Jayalakshmi, Sujatha and Vrunda, all residents of Ramakrishnanagar ‘I’ Block. Car driver Shivakumar, who has sustained serious injuries, is undergoing treatment at a hospital in Chittor.

It is learnt that members of a family and their relatives left Mysuru for Tirupati in their car and after having the darshan of the deity at Tirupati, they were on their way to Mysuru when the tragedy struck.

Sources said that post-mortem will be conducted at the Chittor Hospital today and the bodies will be brought to city.
