Three-year-old critical after falling into sump

September 23, 2021

Mysore/Mysuru: A three-year-old girl child, who was playing with other children, accidentally fell into a water sump and is said to be critical. The incident took place on Kshetraiah Street in K.R. Mohalla yesterday.

The girl is identified as Gunjan, daughter of Sujaram.

Yesterday at about 1.30 pm, Gunjan was playing with other children, when she slipped and fell into the sump just below the steps of the house.

As Gunjan was not seen playing, her mother began to search her, found her fallen inside the sump and screamed for help. Immediately, the family members and neighbours rushed to the spot, lifted Gunjan out of the sump and admitted her to a private hospital.

Police said that the doctors informed that Gunjan is undergoing treatment in the ICU and is critical.
