Tiger sighted at H.D. Kote

March 20, 2017

The forest officials led by DCF V. Karikalan have been trying their luck since yesterday to trap a tiger which was sighted at a Banana Plantation near Nagahalli Lake in H.D. Kote. The tiger, which was first sighted at Heggadapura located 3 kms from the town has not entered banana plantation making it difficult for the forest officials to nab the big cat.

Villagers, who first saw the tiger, were anxious and preferred to stay indoors. Soon, a large number of the people gathered near the place and the tiger escaped to the banana plantation.

The efforts to tranquillise the tiger yesterday went in vain as it had already turned dark. However, the officials have been monitoring the movements of the tiger and are expected to catch it today.
