Tigress found dead near Harohalli

September 25, 2018

Mysuru: The carcass of a tigress aged about six years was found at Chikkanahalli Forest Range near Harohalli in the taluk last evening.

Forest officials have suspected that the tigress may have died of electrocution somewhere and miscreants may have dumped the dead tigress inside the forest. Tyre marks of a tractor was found nearby. As no pug marks were found in the vicinity, it has given rise to doubts that the death was not natural.

The exact cause for the death of the tigress would be known only after post-mortem which will be conducted today.
