Mysuru, Oct.13 (PM&DM)- In yet another glaring case of negligence on the part of authorities, a tiled underground drainage cover on the footpath adjoining the Gun House compound wall in the heart of the city has opened up, posing a threat to pedestrians.

The opened up tiled drainage cover, located right opposite Vishwamanava Park on Dasara Exhibition Road, poses a real threat to pedestrians who walk on the footpath.

Pedestrians face the risk of slipping into the ditch of the opened up drainage tiles and getting injured. Though the tiles opened up days ago, the authorities have turned a blind eye to this trap, thus putting the pedestrians who walk on this footpath at the risk of slipping and falling down.

The citizens have urged the Mysuru City Corporation (MCC)authorities to wake up and undertake urgent repairs of the opened up tiled drainage cover and as well as other stretches of the tiled footpath, where tiles have come apart and thus prevent any injuries to pedestrians, who unknowingly walk on this footpath.
