Mysore/Mysuru: MICA PU College, Mysuru, had organised Tinkering Challenge for the PU Science students recently.

The participants built the Archimedes Screw and presented the principle, working and application of the model.

The students used Hand drillers, Hexablade, C-Clamp, Benchwise, Slide callipers, nose plier, Baby saw, Digital Multimeters (DMM) etc.

Team No. 02 comprising Rahul Dilip, Shashank, Jeevan and Shreya Dawan won the challenge.

The MICA Tinkering Challenge-2020 was inaugurated by Alexander Hughes, a Design teacher from the UK with two decades of experience in design and structure building.

In his opening remarks, Hughes opined that working in Tinkering Labs would foster various skills and encourage the generation of new ideas and team work.

He stressed that working in teams has been the style in which humans have been working for thousands of years now, according to a press release from G. Ramacharan, Principal, MICA PU College.
