Tips to improve services of Trin-Trin in Mysuru

April 2, 2023

Sir,

I am writing to bring to light the current state of Trin-Trin public bicycle sharing system in Mysuru.

This system, introduced in 2016, has been a great asset to the students and general public by providing a convenient and affordable mode of transportation. However, lately, the services provided at the docking stations have been far from satisfactory.

The cycles have become old, and their seats need to be in better condition, making it uncomfortable for the users. The most pressing issue is the malfunctioning of the sensor slots at the docking stations. This means that the cyclists have to call Trin-Trin office to release bicycles, but most of the time, the operators do not answer the calls, leaving the cyclists in a state of helplessness.

To improve the services provided by Trin-Trin, I suggest the following actions be taken:

• Repairs and maintenance of the docking stations are necessary to ensure the cycles’ smoother and more efficient release.

• Upgrading the cycles to new, well-maintained ones with comfortable seats makes the experience more enjoyable for the users.

• Improving customer support by training operators to respond promptly to customer calls and equipping them with the tools and information to handle customer requests effectively.

• Increasing the number of docking stations in various locations in the city to make the service more accessible to the public and reduce waiting time for cyclists.

• Encouraging feedback from users to make improvements and ensure the services provided meet their needs.

By implementing these suggestions, the services provided by Trin-Trin will significantly improve and become a more convenient and enjoyable experience for the students and the general public.

A functional and user-friendly public bicycle sharing system will not only benefit the community, but also encourage the use of sustainable transportation.
