Mysuru, Nov. 15 – The 276th birth anniversary celebration of Hazarath Tipu Sultan Shaheed, organised by Hazarath Tippu Sultan Shaheed (R.A.) Welfare and Urus Committee, was held at Tipu Tomb (Gumbaz) in Ganjam, Srirangapatna, recently.

A delegation from Mysuru consisting of Mysore District Waqf Board Advisory Committee Chairman Azeez Ulla Ajju, Members Moulana Mohammed Ibrahim, Naseeruddin Babu, ARM Amjad Pasha, Jameel Ahmed Ashrafi, Secretary of Tanzeem Ahle Sunnath Jamath Trust, former Corporator Mohammed Sami Ajju, Himayun Pasha, M.F. Kaleem of Responsible Citizen Voice, Mysuru, Radiulla Khan, Executive Member of DCC, Majeed Toufiq Khan, Ahmed Pasha Khadree, Ameen Ismail, social worker, Hazarath Sufi Sha Tirchy Khalander Baba, Khaizer Pasha and large number of devotees from across the State took part in the celebration.

Hazarath Moulana Mohammed Inayath Ur Rehaman Razvi, Shahi Imam of Masjid Aqsa, Tipu Tomb in Srirangapatna performed Fatha Khawni and Duwa (supplications). Waqf Board Chairman Azeez Ulla Ajju spreaded flower mat (Chadar Shariff) and offered floral tribute.

Afroz Pasha, Secretary of Hazarath Tipu Sultan Shaheed Welfare and Urus Committee presented Tipu Sultan Award 2025, comprising a memento, garland, Tipu shawl, Mysuru Peta to Azeez Ulla Ajju and to High Court Advocate M.S. Mukram.

Afroz Pasha thanked the guests, devotees, Tipu Sultan Waqf Estate Officers, Management Committee and the Police Department for their co-operation.
