Tour of Nilgiris takes off from city

The 12th edition of Tour of Nilgiris (TfN) – 2019 cycle expedition, the flagship event of Ride-A-Cycle Foundation (RAC-F), being flagged off from Hotel Regenta Central Herald in city this morning.

Picture below shows the participating cyclists passing through K.R. Circle in Mysuru, en route to Hassan.

The cyclists will pedal 850+ kms through Hassan, Chikmagalur, Kushalanagar, Sultan Bathery, Udhagamandalam (Ooty) and return to Mysuru to complete the tour on Dec.15. On Day 5, while pedalling from Sultan Bathery to Ooty, cyclists will climb the Kalhatti Ghat which is among the toughest cycling climbs in the world.
