Traders asked to make use of Karasamadhana Yojane

Mysuru: The State Government has introduced ‘Karasamadhana Yojane-2019, a scheme that exempts the traders from payment of interest and penalty (100 percent) on pending taxes to the paid to the Commercial Taxes Department.

This scheme covers Karnataka Sales Tax Act 1957, Central Sales Tax Act, 1956, Karnataka Tax on Entry of Goods Act, 1979, Karnataka Tax on Professions, Trades, Callings and Employments Act, 1976, Karnataka Agricultural Income Tax Act, 1957, Karnataka Tax  on Luxuries (Hotels and Lodging Houses) Act, 1979, Karnataka Entertainments Tax Act, 1958 and Karnataka Value Added Tax Act, 2003.

The scheme is applicable in connection with penalty and interest levied by the Department on orders passed on Tax Assessment / Tax Re-assessment / Amendments till June 30, 2019.

The traders are asked to make use of the scheme by remitting tax dues before June 30. For details, log on to http://ctax.kar.nic.in or http://gst.kar.nic.in
