Traffic Cops conduct special drive atop Chamundi Hill

Mysuru: The Mysuru City Traffic Police, who conducted a special drive on two-wheeler riders for violating traffic rules between 5 pm and 10 pm on July 9, have booked 103 cases against traffic rules violators and have also seized three bikes.

The cops have booked 103 cases against two-wheeler riders for triple riding, performing wheelie, coming down the hill by switching off engines, not switching on headlights during nights and other violations.

Three two-wheelers were also seized for rash and negligent riding which could have resulted in loss of lives and damage to properties.

City Police Commissioner Dr. A. Subrahmanyeswara Rao has urged the two-wheeler riders to compulsorily switch on the engines of their bikes and scooters while riding down the hill and also to wear helmets for their safety.
