Traffic hazards need attention

March 21, 2024

Sir,

While commuting I observed that a huge concrete median block is slightly shifted to the road near St. Joseph’s School signal opposite KSOU since months. It can cause major accidents if hit by speeding vehicles coming from B.M. Hospital side.

Also, the traffic signal near Kalamandira junction is supported by a cement block.

Our Traffic Police authorities should know that only helmet will not save lives.

I request the Traffic Department to advise and instruct all the traffic personnel, who are on patrolling duty with the present updated Police vehicles, to record daily the road hazards like big potholes, road diggings, traffic posts in turning points like near SWR DRM’s Office, humps, trees, bushes required trimming etc., which seems hazardous for healthy drive and are forwarded to authorities concerned for action.
