Traffic management workshop for City Police

Mysuru:  The city Traffic Police, as part of its ‘Traffic Management and Road Safety Month,’ had organised a day-long workshop for city Traffic and Law Order Police personnel at SDM Institute for Management Development near the foot of Chamundi Hill here on July 30.

City Police Commissioner Dr. A. Subramanyeswara Rao inaugurated the workshop by watering a plant and spoke about the importance of following road rules.

Resource persons from Bengaluru’s Transport Training Institute Consultancy (TTIC), Jagannath, Manohar, J. Rohit, Ravi Bharadwaj, Manohar, Mohammad Azar, Sumitha and Priyadarshini, explained the importance of traffic management, road safety, traffic junction improvement, traffic signal, road marking, enforcement devices, steps to be taken for drunken-driving, traffic regulations and enforcement.

DCPs Vishnuvardhana and Dr. Vikram V. Amathe, Inspectors and staff of all the Police Stations were also present during the workshop, according to a press release from the Police Commissioner’s office.
