Traffic Police Station needed in Rajivnagar and Shanthinagar limits

July 24, 2021

Sir,

There is an urgent need of a Traffic Police Station in Rajivnagar and Shanthinagar limits in city as these areas are highly populated.

In a recent road accident, a small kid was injured and the person who was involved in the mishap sped away. Now who is responsible for this incident? Shouldn’t there be any law-keeping authorities to keep a track on such incidents?

Rash driving and helmetless riding are on the rise with motorists flouting all the traffic rules. Traffic jams are common sights in these localities. There are no guidelines for parking, no zebra crossing, no yellow lines and no traffic signals.

Hence, I request the City Police Commissioner to consider opening of a Traffic Police Station in this area.
