September 13, 2017

Mysuru: The District Administration has decided to ban the entry of vehicles to Scouts and Guides Grounds behind the Deputy Commissioner’s Office where the Dasara Aahara Mela will be held from Sept. 21.

Movement of vehicles from the arch on Hunsur Road till the Maharaja’s College Grounds will be banned. Only VVIP vehicles and the vehicles owned by food stall owners will be allowed. The entire area will be barricaded and people have to walk from the designated parking spaces to reach the Aahara Mela venue.

The decision has been taken at a meeting between Assistant Commissioner of Traffic K.N. Madaiah and Senior Deputy Director of Food and Civil Supplies Dr. K. Rameshwarappa a couple of days back. Parking arrangements for Aahara Mela visitors will be arranged at Maharaja’s College Grounds, Yuvaraja’s College, Maharani’s College, Government Officers’ Club, ZP office, Volleyball Grounds and Ursu Boarding School.
