Traffic violation: 78 cases booked against a two-wheeler owner !

A Traffic Sub-Inspector is seen checking documents of two-wheeler riders near University of Mysore this morning.

Mysuru – The Kuvempunagar Traffic Police, who booked 78 cases against a two-wheeler owner for different traffic violations over a period of six months, have collected Rs. 7,800 as penalty from him.

Vasanth Kumar of Chikkegowdanahundi (Hadajana) in the taluk, owner of Hero Honda Karishma bike (KA-55 K-7728) is the one who has been penalised.

Vasanth Kumar was caught riding his motorcycle without wearing a helmet during a vehicle checking drive near Kukkarahalli three days ago, when the Traffic Police discovered that Vasanth Kumar had 78 traffic violations against him including helmetless riding, signal jumping, etc.

As Vasanth Kumar failed to remit Rs. 7,800 fine imposed on him, the Police seized the vehicle. But Vasanth Kumar got his motorcycle released after paying Rs. 7,800 at Kuvempunagar Traffic Police Station yesterday.

The vehicle owners have to be alert in following road traffic rules and regulations as CC cameras installed at prominent road, circles, junctions, public joints etc., may have captured images of traffic rule violations and the motorists may be unaware of it.
