Husband isolated at Hospital, wife dies at Home

Mysore/Mysuru: Tragedy struck a family in Mysuru where a woman was found dead inside her house while her husband is isolated at a COVID-19 Hospital.

Though the incident occurred on July 27, it came to light now. The person who contracted the disease is an employee of a factory in city while his wife was a home-maker. As he was tested positive, he was isolated at a Government facility.

With her husband at the hospital there was no one at home to take care of the woman and moreover she was a primary contact and as such she was quarantined at home. The woman was to give her throat swabs for tests on July 27 but was found dead.  Since there was no one else at home, her death went unnoticed. The family was residing on the first floor of a building and the neighbours were aware of the fact that the woman’s husband had tested positive. As they did not see the woman for over two days, they got suspicious and informed her relatives.

When the door was broke open, she was found dead on her bed. A sample taken from her body has now revealed that she was COVID-19 positive too. Reports say that her husband has been discharged from the hospital and came home yesterday.
