Mysuru: “Economic empowerment of society can be achieved through skill development and entrepreneurship,” said Shivakumar, President of HEARt Organisation.

Speaking at the inauguration of Mushroom Cultivation Training Programme organised at the HEARt Organisation Training Centre in Mysuru, he encouraged youth and women to adopt mushroom cultivation as it requires low investment, minimal space and a short production cycle while offering good income opportunities.

The training programme was conducted by resource person Prasanna, who provided both theoretical and practical training on mushroom cultivation.

During the theoretical session, participants received information on the importance of mushrooms, spawn selection, bed preparation, disease management and market opportunities. The practical session demonstrated the various stages of mushroom production, enabling participants to gain hands-on experience and practical knowledge.

Among those present at the programme were Shilpa Shivakumar, Shivalinga, Programme Coordinator and the staff members. At the valedictory ceremony, certificates were distributed to all participants who successfully completed the training programme.
