Mysore/Mysuru: The Department of Pharmaceutical Chemistry of JSS College of Pharmacy, Mysuru, had organised a five-day training programme on ‘Drug-Design, Synthesis and Spectral Analysis’ at its premises in Sri Shivarathreeshwara Nagara on Mysuru-Bengaluru Highway recently.
The training was for the faculty and research associates working in Pharmacy, Medical and Science Colleges across the country. In this training programme, over 20 participants were trained on computer aided drug-design, synthesis and spectral analysis techniques.
Dr. Prashanth Vishwanath, Research Director, JSS Academy of Higher Education & Research was the chief guest at the inauguration.
Speaking on the occasion, he said that there is great demand for such training programmes in order to fulfil the needs of the pharma industry and pharma education.
Dr. G.V. Pujar, Vice-Principal, JSS College of Pharmacy presided. Programme Convenor Dr. B.M. Gurupadayya, Organising Secretary Dr. B.R. Prashantha Kumar and others were present.
