Tree nailed with advertisements at Subashnagar

March 17, 2020

A healthy tree at a park on Mysuru-Bengaluru Road in Subashnagar (opposite to Bibi Ayesha Milli Hospital) is nailed with many advertisement boards using iron nails, thus causing harm to the tree. The efforts of the Government agencies to conserve city’s green cover have been undermined by vested interests, who have used trees as free pinning boards to advertise their products and services. These boards are nailed to trunks, posing a threat to the survival of the tree. Authorities concerned are urged to take steps to get these advertisements nailed to trees removed at the earliest.
