Tribal girls take to corporal training to ascend Himalayas

The tribal girls, who will ascend Himalayas in the month of May 2019, have taken to a physical training and survival skills, which was launched by Tiger Adventure Foundation on Mar.31 at Tavarekere, Mysuru.

Cr. Dr. Priyanka Ravikumar, Chairperson of Mysore Elite Ladies Circle-141, flagged off the training programme at Tavarekere Arch.

The training started from Chamundi Hill and will be continued in various places like Kunti Betta, Gangothri trail, Cycling, road trails, apart from regular training for two hours being imparted to all the trekkers at Kukkarahalli Lake and will culminate with Josh Run of 12 kms on Apr.28.

About sixteen participants from different tribal hamlets of Bandipur and Nagarahole range are participating in the expedition. Apart from this, 26 urban youths from Ballari, Bengaluru, Mangaluru and Mysuru are participating in this expedition.

Along with them, the Foundation is also imparting training to another 24 adventure enthusiasts who are going to the Mt. Rupin Pass in Uttarakhand and Himachal Region from May 19 to June 2, 2019.

The training module is planned and executed by various physical trainers like N. Sharath and Harshavardhan of Tiger Adventure Foundation. The training module is ably guided by DSD Solanki, an ardent adventure enthusiast of Mysuru. The programme is co-ordinated by Suma Mahesh, Hon. Secretary of Tiger Adventure Foundation.
