Trin Trin: Cover bicycles too under traffic regulations

June 13, 2017

Sir,

It is often observed that bicycle riders do not follow the signals and even the Traffic Police do not object them from jumping the signals. Bicycles pose equal hazard to vehicular movements (perhaps more since they are slow and movements are unpredictable) at traffic junctions.

With “Trin Trin” system getting popular, we can see more bicycles on roads. It will be in the interest of public to declare bicycles to be covered under vehicular category as two-wheelers.
