Tusker electrocuted in H.D. Kote

H.D. Kote: A tusker was found electrocuted in a maize field at Narasipura village in H.D. Kote taluk this morning.

The tusker aged between 22-25 years had come to the field belonging to one Naveen in search of food last night and came in contact with the solar fence for which power was drawn illegally and was electrocuted.

The elephant was found dead today morning by the villagers, who informed the Forest officials. ACF Raghu and staff, who rushed to the spot, inspected the place and collected information from the villagers. The Forest Department personnel are on a look out for Naveen and his family members, who are absconding.
