Bengaluru: Television actors Rachana (23) and Jeevan (25), who were on their way to Kukke Subramanaya, died on the spot near Magadi as the Tata Safari SUV they were travelling rammed to a parked lorry in the wee hours today.

The Police said that the duo, along with other friends Ranjith, Eric, Karthik Honnesh and Utthamm, were on their way to Kukke Subramanya to celebrate the birthday of fellow actor Karthik when the tragedy struck.

While Rachana and Jeevan died on the spot, the other actors are being treated at a private hospital.

Rachana has acted in serials like Mahanadi, Madhubala and Triveni Sangama. Magadi Police have registered a case.
