Two commit suicide in city

Mysore/Mysuru: Two persons have committed suicide in separate incidents in Vidyaranyapuram Police limits in city.

In the first incident, a 36-year-old woman, said to be depressed over her husband’s addiction to liquor, commit suicide by hanging self at her house in city on Wednesday.

The deceased is N. Hemavathi, wife of Chandrashekar and a resident of Vidyaranyapuram ‘C’ Block in city.

According to the Police, Hemavathi was married to Chandrashekar 11 years ago and Chandrashekar, who was addicted to liquor used to come home drunk every day and harass Hemavathi daily. Depressed over this, Hemavathi took the extreme step, the Police added.

In the second incident, a 52-year-old man, who was suffering from Hernia since many days, committed suicide by hanging self at his residence, according to the Police.

The deceased is Manjunathaswamy, a resident of J.P. Nagar 3rd Cross in city. Depressed over his ill health, Manjunathaswamy is said to have committed    suicide. 

Cases have been registered at Vidyaranyapuram Police Station.
