The two-day District-Level Floodlight Volleyball Tournament jointly organised by Venkateshwara Grameenabhivrudhi Trust, T. Narasipur and Kaveri Sports Club will be held at APMC premises on Mysuru-Nanjangud Road from Jan. 27, said Club President C.D. Venkatesh here yesterday. 

Addressing the media persons at the Pathrakartara Bhavan, he said that former MLA Dr. Yathindra Siddaramaiah will inaugurate the tournament at 4 pm. Dr. Siddalinga Shivacharya Swamiji will preside.

KDP member Sunil Bose will distribute prizes to the winners during the valedictory ceremony on Jan. 28. Former Minister Kote Shivanna will preside. A total of 40 teams from various taluks of the district will be taking part in the tournament.

The organisers have announced cash prizes of Rs. 25,000, Rs. 15,000 and Rs. 10,000 for winners, runners and third placed team along with trophies, certificates and Player of the Tournament award. B.M. Mahadevu, Sunil Kumar, Nagesh and Ramesh were present.
