Mysuru: Kodava Students Association (KSA), Mysuru, will be organising a two-day 7’A Side Hockey Tournament for both men and women from tomorrow  (Apr. 3) at Chamundi Vihar Stadium in city.

Karnataka Rajya Raitha Sangha State Vice-President Kadyamada Manu Somaiah, International Hockey Player Koothanda Poonacha, former MCC Corporator Maletira U. Subbaiah, Kodava Samaja Mysuru President Ponjanda A. Ganapathy, Kodava Samaja Cultural and Sports Club, Mysuru, Vice-President Machanda Prakash Belliappa and Jabhoomi Charitable Trust Treasurer Jammada P. Ganesh Aiyanna will be the chief guests for the inaugural ceremony on Apr. 3 at 10.30 am.

International Hockey Player and Ekalavya Awardee Abharan Sudev will be the guest of honour on the occasion.

Meanwhile,  Madikeri MLA Dr. Mantar Gowda, United Kodava Organisation (UKO)President Kokkalemada Manju Chinnappa, Hockey Mysore President Konganda Dilip Biddappa, Fashion Designer Porera Palash Bidappa, Sapient College of Commerce and Management Dean Puliyanda Sujatha Bopanna and Druid Solution Pvt. Limited Director Chendanda Shammi Belliappa will be the chief guests for the valedictory ceremony to be held on Apr. 4 after the final match at 2 pm. 

CAG India Goal-Keeper Appanderanda Koushik Subramani and IAF Flying Officer Chottekalapanda Kshama Poonacha will be the guests of honour. Kodava Students Association President Nellira Ravi Kariappa will preside.

A total of 20 men’s team and 9 women’s team will be taking part in the tournament.
