Two-day Nada Nrityopasana cultural festival on Nov.30 and Dec. 1

Mysuru: Nadavidyalaya Academy of Music and Dance, Hebbal, as part of its 13th annual celebration of Music and Dance, has organised a two-day cultural festival titled ‘Nada Nrityopasana’ on Nov.30 and Dec. 1 at Nadabrahma Sangeetha Sabha, JLB Road, at 5.30 pm. 

Academy’s Karnatak vocal, Bharatanatyam and key-board students, in all 205 budding talents will take part in the programme under the guidance and direction of Guru Vidwan Naveen M.S. Andagar and Guru Vidushi Mithra Naveen. 

Nadopasana on Saturday: Karnatak classical vocal, key-board programme will be presented by sub-junior, junior, senior and vidwat students. Kala Seva Rathna K.V. Murthy will preside.  Ramakrishna, Secretary of Adarsha Seva Sangha and Prema Shankaregowda, Corporator will be the guests of honour. Udayasimha and Veena Udayasimha, renowned Dasa Sahitya Sankeertanakara from Chikkamagalur will be awarded with the title “Nada Kalavatamsa.”

Tabla accompaniment will be by Vid. Dasappa, Keyboard by Purushotham, Rhythm Pad by Gurudatt. R.G.Ramachandra Bhat will compere.

 Nrityopasana  on Sunday: Bharatanatyam Margam will be presented by sub-junior, junior, senior and vidwat students. Vocal – Vid. M.S Naveen Andagar, mridangam – Vid. M.J. Kiran, Flute – Vid. C.N.Tyagarajan.
