Mysuru: Gandhi Vichara Parishat, Mysuru and Centre for Gandhian Studies of University of Mysore (UoM), together have organised a two-day National Seminar on Journalism titled ‘Madhyama: Prajasatthe’ on Dec.21 and 22 at the proposed Gandhi Bhavan site on Adichunchanagiri Road in Aravindanagar here.
Disclosing this at a press meet at Pathrakartara Bhavan here yesterday, Parishat President P. Mallesh said that senior journalist and Gandhian from New Delhi, Rajmohan Gandhi, will inaugurate the programme on Dec.21 at 10.30 am.
Former Chief Minister and Parishat Hon. President Siddharamaiah and UoM Vice-Chancellor Prof. G. Hemantha Kumar will be the chief guests.
Journalists Krishna Prasad, Kumar Kethkar, Ravindra Bhat and Seema Mustafa and writer Lakshmisha Tholvadi will speak on various topics related to media.
The programme on Dec.22 will feature lectures by journalists Dr. R. Poornima, D. Umapathi, Ravi Hegde, Dinesh Amin Mattu and A. Hariprasad and thinker Dr. G. Ramakrishna.
Former Minister Dr. H.C. Mahadevappa will preside and UoM Registrar Dr. R. Shivappa will be the chief guest, he said.
Parishat Secretary Samskruti Subramanya, Centre for Gandhian Studies Director Dr. M.S. Shekar and Kannada Kriya Samithi Gen. Secretary S.R. Sudarshan were present.
