Two-day Natl. Conference on ‘Consumer Behaviour’

The Department of Commerce, Teresian College, in association with the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC), has organised a 2-day National Conference on ‘Consumer Behaviour: Trends and Challenges’ on Mar. 17 and 18.

Prof. N.K. Lokanath, Vice- Chancellor, University of Mysore (UoM), will inaugurate the Conference on Mar. 17 at                                  10 am at the College premises in Siddarthanagar here.

Dr. Sr. Juanita, Director; Dr. Sr. Rohini, Principal; Dr. Veena M. D’Almeida, Head, Department of Commerce; Dr. P.M. Shivaprasad, Co-ordinator; W. Arun Devapura, Organising Secretary, along with other dignitaries, will attend the inaugural session.

Over the course of these two days, distinguished academicians and scholars will present insightful talks on the evolving trends and challenges in Consumer Behaviour.

Prof. K. Maran, Director, Sri Sairam Institute of Management Studies, Chennai, will deliver a talk on ‘Ripple Effect of Consumerism: Business, Economy and Society’; Dr. K. Nagendra Babu, Professor and Dean, Department of Studies in Commerce, UoM, will address on ‘21st  Century Consumerism.’

Additionally, J. Jaya Prakash, a renowned Advocate from Mysuru, will discuss ‘Consumer Protection: Trends and Challenges.’

The paper presentation sessions will be chaired by Dr. M. Girish Kumar, Assistant Professor and Head, Bhandari and Rathi College, Guledgudd, Bagalkot and Dr. G. Anand Kumar, Assistant Professor, Government FGC, Muniyal, Udupi.

The valedictory ceremony will be held on Mar. 18 at 3.30 pm.
