Mysuru: Moodabidri-based Alva’s Shikshana Pratishtana will be hosting a 2-day Udyoga Mela (Job fair) at Alva’s College premises, Vidyagiri, Moodabidri on June 24 and 25.
Announcing this at a press meet here on Thursday, College’s Journalism Department Head Dr. Moulya Jeevan Ram said that the Pratishtana with an objective of providing new opportunities to job aspirants will be hosting the 2-day event titled ‘Pragati-2017.’
Minister for Youth Services and Sports Pramod Madhwaraj will inaugurate the event at 9.30 am on June 24. More than 200 companies from across the country will take part. The companies include IT, ITES, Manufacturing, Sales, Retail and Banking sectors, she said.
Pointing out that more than 300 aspirants are taking part in the 2-day event, she said that nearly 5,000 candidates from across the country are expected to take part in the 2-day event.
Ahead of the mega job fair, a two-day informative workshop will be held at the same venue on June 17 and 18, she added.
