Mysuru: A two-day workshop on ‘Data Analytics with R’ was organised in association with ISTE student chapter and CSI Student chapter of Vidyavardhaka College of Engineering (VVCE), Mysuru recently.

The inaugural function was presided by Dr. B. Sadashive Gowda, Principal, VVCE, in the presence of Dr. A.B. Rajendra, HoD, ISE Department and in-house resource persons Prof. D.C. Vinutha, Prof. Md. Muddasir and Prof. S.B. Chandini of ISE Department.

The workshop focused on experimental learning of data mining concept, Hands-on approach to Data analytics using R-Studio and R-tool and Business Decision using Data analytics. The aim of the workshop was to enlighten students of VII semester with the latest developments in the field of ‘Data Analytics with R’.

The workshop comprised both theory sessions along with  the hands-on-session using R – Studio. New concept of idea generation using the Data Analytics was also a part of this workshop wherein students generated new ideas.

The event concluded with a feedback on the sessions by the participants. Prof. Md. Muddasir and Prof. J.B. Shilpashree coordinated the workshop.  About 40 ISE students from VII semester participated in this workshop.
