Three gold chains and bike worth about Rs.2.5 lakh recovered
Mysuru: Narasimharaja (NR) Police, who have arrested two persons on charges of snatching gold chains from women and lifting a bike in city, have recovered three gold chains and the stolen bike from them.
The arrested have been identified as 24-year-old Mohammed Ibrahim of Kalyangiri and 30-year-old Mohammed Imran of Ghousianagar in city.
The accused on Jan.5 had snatched a gold chain of a woman at Karunapura and had also snatched a gold chain of an elderly woman at R.S. Naidu Nagar on Feb.6. They had also lifted a Hero Honda bike on Ramanuja Road in K.R. Mohalla.
Based on the information provided by them, the Police have recovered three gold chains weighing about 65 grams and worth about Rs. 2.2 lakh and the Hero Honda bike worth about Rs.30,000 from them.
Following their arrest, the Police have solved two chain snatching cases in NR Police limits and a bike lifting case in KR Police limits.
DCP M. Muthuraj and NR Sub-Division ACP Dharanesh supervised NR Inspector B. Basavaraju, SI Anand and staff Ramesh, Manjunath, Mahadeva and Ramesh in the nabbing and recovery operation.
