Two house burglars arrested

81 grams gold ornaments worth about Rs.2.4 lakh recovered

Mysuru:  The City Crime Branch (CCB) Police on June 24 have arrested two house burglars on charges of committing burglaries at various Police Station limits and have recovered 81 grams gold ornaments worth about Rs.2.4 lakh from them.

The arrested house burglars have been identified as Ravi and Gopinath, both residents of B.M. Sri Nagar in city.

The two accused were picked up by the Police when they were trying to sell the stolen gold ornaments on Ashoka Road in Lashkar Mohalla.

During interrogation, the accused are said to have confessed of committing house burglaries and based on the information provided by the accused, the Police have received stolen gold ornaments                           from them.

Following their arrest, the CCB Police have solved one case each in Nazarbad, Vijayanagar and Srirangapatna Police Stations.

DCP Mahaninga B. Nandaganvi and CCB ACP B.R. Lingappa supervised CCB Inspector Shivaswamy, ASIs Chandregowda and Alexander and staff Ganesh, Chikkanna, Lakshmikanth, Ramaswamy, Shivaraju, Yakub Shariff, Asgar Khan, Rajendra, Niranjan, Prakash, Anand, Chamundamma, Shivakumar and Gautam in the nabbing and recovery operation.
