Two injured in group clash at Nanjangud village

Nanjangud: Two youths sustained injuries, when two groups clashed over a trivial issue at Devarasanahalli in the taluk late last night. The injured youths, who have been identified as Abhishek and Raghavendra, have been admitted to different Hospitals in Mysuru.

Trouble began when one group questioned the other over pledging of a motorbike in exchange for money at  Devarasanahalli located about 5-km from Nanjangud on Chamarajanagar Road. As arguments turned into a fit of rage, youths clashed against each other with weapons, when Abhishek and Raghavendra sustained grievous head injuries and were rushed to two different Hospitals in Mysuru for treatment, where they are said to be out of danger. 

As tension prevailed in the village following the group clash, SP C.B. Ryshyanth, Additional SP Shivakumar, Dy.SP Govindaraj and other Police personnel visited the village.
