Two killed as goods vehicle knocks them down near Nanjangud

Nanjangud:  Two persons, were killed on the spot and two others sustained injuries, when a goods vehicle knocked them down near Mudalli Gate in the taluk yesterday.

The deceased have been identified as Ravi (19) of Haginavalu village and Mahesh of Hedatale village  in the taluk. The injured have been  identified as Mahesh’s mother 31-year-old Shyla and five-year-old Jeevan, who are undergoing treatment at JSS Hospital in Mysuru.

Yesterday at about 8.30 am, Ravi and Mahesh who were proceeding towards Nanjangud from Kuratti village saw Shyla and Jeevan near Mudalli Gate, stopped the bike and were talking with them, when a speeding goods vehicle, coming from Gundlupet side rammed into them killing Ravi and Mahesh on the spot and injuring others. Nanjangud Rural Police are investigating.
