Two killed as Tata Ace topples

Mysuru: Two persons were killed on the spot and four others sustained injuries when the Tata Ace vehicle they were travelling overturned near Kempayyanahundi on Mysuru-T.Narasipur road this morning.

The deceased have been identified as vehicle driver Vasantha (40), a resident of Talakad and Nagaraj (50), a resident of Hemmige in Talakad Hobli.

Six persons including the driver, all said to be painters, were coming to the city from T.Narasipur at about 8.45am when the driver lost control following which the vehicle toppled, killing the duo. Four other passengers, who sustained injuries, were rushed to a city hospital.

T.Narasipur Police, who rushed to the spot, conducted mahazar and shifted the bodies to T. Narasipur Government Hospital. A case has been registered at T. Narasipur Police Station in this regard.
