Two kilogram gold loot and robbing elderly couple cases: Accused will be brought to book soon, says DCP

Mysore/Mysuru: Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) Dr. A.N. Prakash Gowda has expressed confidence of nabbing the accused involved in robbing two kilogram gold ornaments from a house at Saraswathipuram and robbing elderly couple after tying them at their house in Vivekanandanagar.

Speaking to media persons at Devaraja Police Station yesterday, the DCP said that CCTV footages pertaining to the two cases have been obtained and based on the clues, a hunt has been launched to nab the accused.

Pointing out that the investigations are going on, he said that the cases would be cracked soon.

Stating that a few suspects were interrogated in the two kilogram gold loot case at the house of one Vijaykumar at Saraswathipuram, the DCP suspected that people known to the family, relatives or professional thieves may have committed the crime which would be known only after the completion of investigation.

Speaking about the case where an elderly couple were tied in their house in Vivekanandanagar by burglars in the early hours on Monday and Rs. 15,000 cash and gold ornaments looted from the house, DCP Dr. Prakash Gowda said that the investigation was on and efforts are being made to nab the  culprits soon.

He further said that night beat by Police officers and staff has been intensified in city and action has been taken to prevent chain-snatching and other crime incidents in city.
