Two KSFIC employees booked for assault

Mysore/Mysuru: The Ashokapuram Police have booked two employees of Karnataka State Forest Industries Corporation (KSFIC) on charges of assaulting and threatening a Firewood contractor.

Murali and Usman Shaikh, employees of KSFIC having office at Kuvempunagar, are the ones who are booked.

Mohammad Ismail Pasha, a firewood contractor of Nagamangala, had lodged a complaint with the Ashokapuram Police on Feb. 25 accusing Murali and Usman Shaikh of assaulting and threatening him of murder, when he had been  to KSFIC office on Feb. 18 to ask for payment of pending dues with regard to transportation of firewood.

Based on Pasha’s complaint, the Police have booked a case against Murali and Usman Shaikh under  IPC sections 341, 323, 504 and 506 r/w 34.
