Two men succumb to injuries at hospital

Mysuru: A 24-year-old man, who had sustained serious injuries and admitted to K.R. Hospital in city, passed away on Wednesday midnight. The deceased is Basavaraju, son of Kullajjegowda and a resident of Bhyravapura in H.D. Kote Taluk.

Basavaraju, on Wednesday afternoon had climbed a tree to pluck leaves but slipped and fell down sustaining serious injuries. He was admitted to K.R. Hospital in the evening, but succumbed to injuries in the midnight.

H.D. Kote Police, who have registered a case in this regard, are investigating.

In another incident, a man who had sustained severe injuries in a road accident, succumbed to injuries at a private hospital in city on Monday.

The deceased is Vignesh of Tamil Nadu. He was proceeding on the Ring Road near Bharath Cancer Hospital on his bike on Nov. 9, when the bike hit the road divider resulting in the rider falling down and sustaining serious injuries. He was admitted to a private hospital where he breathed his last, according to V.V. Puram Traffic Police.

Youth run over by train

A 27-year-old youth was run over by a train on Mysuru-Arasikere track near Metagalli in city.

The deceased is Mahesh, a resident of Dasanakoppal in Jayapura Hobli.

The Mysuru Railway Police, who have shifted the body to MMC&RI mortuary, said that the body would be handed over to the deceased’s family members after post-mortem.
