Mysuru: Cracking the whip on illegal cattle transportation, the CCB Police have arrested two persons on charges of clandestinely transporting 34 cows to a slaughter house in city. The arrested have been identified as Farooq, 30, a resident of Md. Sait block in Lashkar Mohalla and Mohsin, 35, a resident of Amrut Layout near Kamanakerehundi in the taluk.

Acting on a tip off, the CCB Cops intercepted a Bolero pick-up van near Subhodhini Convention Hall on Hebbal Ring Road early yesterday morning and rescued 34 cows and calves, being illegally taken to a slaughter house in city. The rescued cattle was later sheltered at Pinjarapole in city. The two arrested were handed over to the jurisdictional Hebbal Police who have continued investigation.
