Two students killed as car topples

Mandya: Two students were killed while four others sustained serious injuries, when the Innova car in which they were travelling toppled on the National Highway near Bellur Cross in Nagamangala taluk yesterday morning.

The deceased students have been identified as Fardulla (22) and Irfan (20). The details of the injured students are not known. All the students are said to be natives of Kerala.

The incident: All the students were travelling in the Innova car from Mangaluru to Bengaluru. When they reached near Bellur Cross, the person behind the wheel lost control of the vehicle which toppled killing Fardulla and Irfan on the spot and the remaining students sustaining serious injuries.

Local Police, who rushed to the spot, have shifted the injured to Adichunchanagiri Hospital.

A case has been registered at Bellur Police Station in this regard.
